You are the cover of my book
Fear and emotion fill pages
I have a war with my past
Can love make peace,
Or will it last ?

Afraid of perpetuation
Repeating the same mistakes
Forgiveness is lost
And lessons not learned

Today you know the meaning
And you use it in vane
A heart full with frustration
For each and every day

Strength was easy,
Need was too much
Searching for the lost
The lost love of the past

Where did this all start?
From which mistake of mine
From too much smile during a sad time
Or too much pain during the shining day?

Distorted reality
Fake believes or not at all
If I’m a leaf what do I want
A wind to blow and fly me high ?

If I could ask when and why
Who would be there to say it right ?
And don’t know to say hi
And I don’t know how to say goodbye.
