More than a feeling.
Diving is emotion , a live motion of divergent boundary of feelings, you leave for a while behind everything and you enter another world, a world that is not yours but once upon a time life came from there, and however is not your world there, you are so much accepted and you can feel that the same way you visit this place to admire and feel it, the same way the life there is admiring you. There is a mutual acceptance that happens. Multitude of events that requires a permanent focus to enjoy the environment, nevertheless, to stay safe. When I dive, I leave behind everything, I clean my mind and I’m completely focused on everything around me at that time, setting free of any thoughts and feelings I discovered from my very first dive in open water. I bear a deep admiration for each form of life and a true love for the underwater world.
As you will see, most of the time I’m planning my vacations taking into consideration that I want to combine diving experiences into the program of my trips. I want to travel and dive around the world, and I have already started this journey some years ago. There is a poem that I wrote it after my first diving certificate, years ago, I share it with you:
Divine
Let me call you so
as my soul feels you
From a fear, an unknown, desires and curiosities
that’s how you started attracting me.
It was not too late; it was not too soon.
A mature moment.
Barefoot, shod, undressed, dressed,
sleepy, rested, happy or sad.
You accept me in any way.
Every time I leave,
I always want to come back.
A new world and yet the same
you opened my eyes.
You revealed my heart.
I understand now what you have told me.
I understand now.
Immensity is fragile.
Power is fragile.
Life is fragile.
What a great struggle,
what a struggle for power.
All you want and ask for is respect.
What you give is life.
You spoke to me, I understood you.
My tears became the same as you, in your depths,
tears of happiness, tears of fulfillment, of realization.
Love protects, as you protect my soul.
I try to learn how to protect you too.
Let me start with a poem about you,
my dear ocean.
